We recently received word from Gerd Botha, Chairperson of the Vriende van Blouberg / Friends of Blouberg, that mud and sand had stopped a very strategic and important borehole from delivering water to the animals at the Blouberg Nature Reserve.
Upon further investigation, it appeared that although the existing hole was clean, it had been rendered useless as the pipes were dropped into the hole. This meant that a new hole needed to be drilled and equipped.
To assist with the drilling operation, MBT Petroleum generously donated 1000l of diesel. And according to the drill team, the new hole has managed to reach a suitable water supply (20,000l/hr) which will feed the three sites that so desperately need water.
“There comes a time when one is lost for words to say thank you, well now is such a time. It is with great appreciation that we [Vriende van Blouberg] would like to thank you for your generous donation of fuel to make things happen at Blouberg,” says Botha.
“Your donation has made it possible to drill a new critical borehole to supply three strategic waterholes on the reserve. Thank you for always having a positive attitude towards VvB-FoB. We sincerely appreciate this and trust that we may have a good relationship for many years to come.”
We are so happy to be a part of this operation! MBT Petroleum – Motivated Beyond Tomorrow!
