MBT Petroleum is the proud sponsor of the Defender Trophy, a family-friendly overland event, and not a driving competition, neither does it test your physical fitness. It is an event for Land Rover Defender enthusiasts, for people with green blood in their veins, who simply love to drive their Landy’s while exploring the magic of Africa.

On the majority of Defender Trophy trips, the participants donate food and/or clothing to the needy. Their group size is limited to 30 vehicles and approximately 60 people – participants, support crew, and media. While offering great Defender adventures with fun-filled competitions focused on the Defender and its rich heritage, and navigational skills. They get prompted with questions about local culture, fauna and flora. Only eco-friendly routes are selected with care to ensure minimum impact with maximum enjoyment by participants.
